You see it many times on the Internet, those ‘Ads by Google’ that come up when you use their search engine or browse someone else’s website. You’ve probably clicked on some, and as you did so, you placed money not only into Google’s coffers, but also someone else’s bank account, that of the individual website owner. Now imagine having those Google ads on your own website and having Google pay you for helping them advertise.  That’s Google AdSense, one of the best ways to make money online.

Before we further explain Google AdSense, let us talk about Google AdWords.  This is a program that allows website owners to advertise on Google’s search result pages, and this is where Google earns the majority of it’s income. You can also display these text ads on your own website through their program called Google AdSense and Google will in turn pay you for any clicks your visitors generate on those ads.

Google AdSense is easy to apply for, takes little time to install, and best of all, it will cost you nothing to start up. It does not discriminate whether you are a small, medium or large website, as long as your site is relevant and provides value to readers; Google will be interested to have their ads on it.

With Google’s global reputation, you wouldn’t think twice about placing Google ads on your site.  After all, they are as good as their reputation: their program works, they deliver on their payments, and they help you make money with Google AdSense.

Google will even choose the best kinds of ads that will fit your website, so that even if you have several websites, you’ll be assured that Google AdSense will only give you ads that are relevant to the theme or topic of each website.  Apart from text ads, you can also choose contextually targeted image ads.

Now, how do you maximize the potential to make money with Google AdSense? The answer is simple – traffic.  You must increase the traffic to your website; the more visitors you have to websites, the greater the chances of earning.  Displaying AdSense ads prominently on your page also helps; many swear that placing them on the right hand side of the page, tower-style, works best although test different placements to help improve click throughs further.

Choose your website topic carefully, and don’t go for whatever the latest fad is out there, because once the fad dies, so will traffic to your website.  Go for topics that people will always be interested in, like making money, health care, or finding a great job. The options are endless, let your creative juices flow and come up with a topic that can sustain interest in your site.

Come up with a steady supply of fresh, quality content rich with targeted keywords or phrases directly related to your topic. This helps your website get better rankings in the search engine results used by those looking for information.

Also, focus on only one topic per page, so that Google can give you suitable contextual ads, meaning ads that are targeted to content of the page. So that if your content is about losing weight, Google will display ads that are related to it.

This way, visitors to your website will find the ads relevant, and when they find that what they read and see on your site makes a lot of sense, there is a good chance they will click on the ads. All these can lead to bigger chances of click-throughs, and bigger payout for you.

Now, here’s how you make money with Google AdSense. When a visitor to your site clicks on any of the Google ads found there, Google puts a certain amount into your AdSense account.  Many call it a great passive income, and yes, it does keep working even on your down time. But that doesn’t mean you should totally leave your website and stop working on it. You must continually upgrade and promote your site to get consistent traffic.

You will not know exactly how much Google pays you per ad clicked on your site, but you can view how much money you are already earning from your Google AdSense account, where you can see the daily, weekly, monthly, and even yearly numbers.  The commission Google will pay you depends on how much they are paid by their advertisers.

Some people try to maximize their earning potential with Google AdSense by creating several websites.  If you follow suit, remember to apply the same principles to each site. Although it would mean more work to update each one of the websites regularly, to get to the top of the search engine results, it also means a higher number of visitors and a bigger payout for you.

As you work on this over time, you will gain experience and knowledge and will become savvier in your efforts to make more money with Google AdSense. Remember, the opportunities are out there, it’s up to you to take action and jump on the bandwagon.

I am making money with Google Adsense, although is a very small amount each month.

Google Adsense is great when you start adding more and more posts / articles to your site. As long as the pages are well optimized, with an interesting and searched for topic, this should be enough.

I keep planning to add one post a day, but can never manage it… I can normally add one or two posts a week maximum…In a year´s time I will definitely see a lot more money coming from Adsense ads!

I think it is very important to follow this advice when it comes to really making money from google adsense, specially the one about keeping the pages on topic so that google gives you the right ads for your visitors, imagine having a site that gives you a dollar a day, if you have ten you can make ten dollars a day, now imagine a website that gives you 20, 50 maybe 100 dollars a day from google adsense… can you imagine having 10 of those!!!
but remember to keep your site fresh, donpt just leave it there, keep it up to date so that you can atract new visitors and keep the faithful ones coming back.
